Rooms to Grow Into

We have been getting requests for ideas for kids rooms that will grow with them and not seem childish as they get older.

We are obsessed with the color navy right now and what would be more sophisticated than a navy room for a boy?  This is definitely a color that would grow with him.  Our perfect navy paint is Farrow & Balls Hague Blue, No. 30.  This strong blue is reminiscent of Dutch exterior woodwork

Crisp, classic bedding that is machine washable is a must.  A Bark Border duvet cover and sham from Serena & Lily will lighten things up and give the navy walls a less serious feel.

Incorporating Osborne & Little's Fermoy linen gingham for window treatments and throw pillows will complete the room.  Named after the town in County Cork, Ireland, this is a fabric that neither he (nor you) will tire of.

FLOR Tiles are a smart option for carpet in a boy's room.  The tiles can can easily be switched out if there is a stain that can't be removed.  The Cheviot collection is 100% pure wool, making it soft & dense enough for play time.
